100,000 Vehicles tracked by Navman Wireless
Vehicle tracking giant Navman Wireless has fitted its award-winning system into its 100,000th vehicle - a global milestone for the company.
The connections landmark reflects Navman Wireless's continued growth and resilience in the face of the worldwide economic downturn.
"Technologies that can significantly reduce costs and boost productivity have never been more important," said Tony Neill, Executive Vice President, Navman Wireless.
"For any business operating a vehicle fleet, the return on investment from the Navman Wireless system is unequivocal. A study by Institute of Transport Management has found, for example, that the technology can reduce fuel consumption by 14 per cent - even for small vehicle fleets, this alone can equate to thousands of pounds a year in cost savings.
"There is a growing realisation of this and the extent to which vehicle tracking can improve a company's bottom line. We are delighted to announce this momentous achievement."
The 100,000 connections revelation comes hot on the heals of the company's recent announcement of a 45 per cent growth in employee numbers over the last 12 months.
Navman Wireless is the UK's largest manufacturer of tracking, messaging and navigation equipment. Globally, the company boasts more than 7,500 customers across 10 countries.
